In oneself lies the whole world
and if you know how to look and learn,
the door is there and the key is in your hand.
Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door
to open, except yourself.

Cool bathroom! Do you live in an old farmhouse? Looks so homey.
What a yummy shot!! Is there a word for folks like us that love old surfaces, full of textures and patina and rust?
May your weekend unfurl into a fabulous one!
Wonderful shadow shots for the day, Robin, and wonderful words as well -- as always! Hope you have a lovely weekend! Enjoy!
what lovely interior details
This a beautiful bath - the modern powder room is often festooned with marble and chrome. Here though, the room is equally functional as the new one, but has a rustic character that is so comforting. Nice and old offers a style and grace we do not often see in these hectic times...
Beautiful shots! I like old doors...
Krishnamurti's quote is perfect for your shadows shots!
Great choice!
The touches of shadow round this lovely design seem to give it a mystery of time flowing quietly; a close link with the past. Beautiful.
Ralph nailed the description of your bathroom right on the head. Your charming bathroom sparked a memory of ours in our country home. I dare not ponder that the current owners modernized it.
very succinct- we all have the key in our hands. Lovely!
Both the room and its shadows are warm and inviting.
Lovely soft shadows in an old fashioned room! Love the quote!
The quote is so true.
Lovely, warm feeling in your pictures...Happy Sunday!
When I look back at my life graph, I think what you said (or Jiddu said) makes sense.
I like your antique bathroom, and that the rubber knob stopper doesn't match up with the knob. Cool shadows, too!
