...just in case...

i was never good at hide
& seek because i'd always
make enough noise so my
friends would be sure to
find me. i don't have
anyone to play those games
with any more, but now &
then i make enough noise
just in case some one is
still looking & hasn't
found me yet.

how freeing
to make a snow angel.
this is a photo from
a couple years back.
but  i do remember
i enjoyed making it.
laughing from the depths of your soul is cleansing.
try it.
maybe today.
and when you are done.
let's go find some more shadows.
i don't have enough snow today
for an angel.
but i bet i can go outside and kick up my heels
in delight that there is no snow.
and laugh.
a really good.
laugh.
just BE.
robin.

It is true! Laughter IS the best medicine! I don't think one can ever laugh too much.
Have a weekend filled with the magic of the mundane!

I just heard today that laughter also helps to lose weight!

Let's laugh together!!!
We got snow - 1.18110 inches - most of it melted already, let's laugh! :)
Happy weekend!

Alas, the ground is brown up here, the 58 degree sunny day allows for no snow. Yet 'tis true, we have to lose ourselves in simple pleasures - we fall too easily into the world of glum, the laugh as therapeutic as any medicine, really more so. The 'wings' flapping on the white snow offer the look of an angel. Nice!

I love your shadow shot for the day!! And without a doubt, laughter is indeed the very best medicine and we can treat all manner of problems with it and know we'll get results! Believe!! The secret of it all! Have a beautiful weekend, Robin!

We're having an almost snow-free winter this far but yesterday was a cold day with some powdery snow (not enough for snow angels) and ice on shallow puddles and along the shore of the lake. You were right about the water being cold in my picture of the black swan.

A wonderful "feel good post"! Lovely sense of happy abandonment in the photo! As if keeping the shadow down and in place and facing the light!

I love to laugh and this photo certainly left a smile on my face.

We rarely get snow and enough to make a snow angel is even rarer. Instead, I'll just enjoy yours. :)

Oh yeah, a deep down laugh is good for the soul! My husband tries to make me laugh every day and he usually succeeds. Here's a corny joke for you: How does a crazy person go through the woods?

On a psycho path!

I LOVE snow angels!!!!

A SHADOW THE SIZE OF THE SUN

If I had a shadow the size of the sun,
I’m not sure how fast I’d be able to run,
Or if I could flee from its ravenous jaws,
While keeping away from its razor-sharp claws!

Great post. I could never stay that long in the cold without freezing.

What fun making snow angels...getting up off the ground, not so fun...ARGH!!!

Been swamped getting this new space organized, haven't had much blogging time to play. Once that is finished I'll be back at the shadows...say 'HEY' to Tilda...let's get some chocolate...K...

Have a great Sunday girls, gonna get colder here tomorrow, but those 50+ degree days were the bomb, I painted furniture outside and my chickens scratched all day with smiles on...don't take much for me...LOL!

That looks like so much fun! I wish I could make a snow angel but there's no chance of that happening where I live. I love a good belly laugh where you laugh so long and hard that your sides ache!

Enjoy your snow-free weekend Robyn! Woohoo!

I haven't made a snow angel for years. Not since living in MN, 36 years ago. Fun!!

I love it when the kids are outside, laughing... they do know how to just live in the moment! Great picture and the feelings it evokes!
Hugs, Antonella :-)
P.S. I am also participating in SSS2, and I've created a free printable / digi with the shadow quote this week...

You always rocks!

We don't have any snow that left to the ground this winter enough for making an angle.

Hope you had a great Christmas and a peaceful NY & fruitful 2012.

Hugs,

It is an impossible thing to watch a child make a snow a angel and not at least smile.
Thanks for sharing.
