this is a machine that takes your life
& does all the hard parts
&
leaves you all the parts you enjoy
& almost everyone discovers they're not
the parts

it's a very, snowy
blowy day today.
i believe it may be
a creative juices flowing day.
a day of
my hands wrapped around my cup
of coffee day.
while i am wearing my
warm pj 's day.
enjoying the talents of the people on this
screen in front of me day.
i will be heading to shadow land.
for yummy sun and shandows.
then to my fellow participants
in beyond layers.
later...
as the snow settles.
i will take a walk outside.
and witness it's beauty
through.
my.
lens.
enjoy your day.
just BE.

This is a very cool work of art, its (sort of) clothesline shape topped by a fleur-de-lis. Given the monotony of the snowy outdoors, warm indoor shadows are to be pursued - with shadowy captures the reward!
I know it's not, but the object you photographed looks like a crown with a keyhole in it. Hmm...wonder what I could do with that, and where I could go...
oh the possibilities are endless mmt!! love that this is what you saw in this today.
This reminds me of a type of vessel I saw on the alter of a cathedral in Spain when I lived there! Amazing all the different things we all see, isn't it! Great post for the day, Robin!

...this actually is the top to a glass coffee carafe. i will photograph the two sometime and post it.
I'm glad you filled us in on what this is - it had me baffled! It's quite lovely.
Robin this is a very interesting piece : ) I just found Kim Klassen's blog/info and now I know where all these gorgeous pictures I have seen on blogs are initiated from ! I too want to get sinto this craft .. it makes simple pictures look amazing.

PS I don't know what it is but it is beautiful ;-)
Love your silvery shadow & we were thinking it had something to do with a tea or coffee pot, but had never seen anything like it!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!!

A magical object indeed! I too, saw a crown with a keyhole and wondered what this was for (and then I read on and saw what it was for). A sweet shot and glad you made good use of a nice, cold, snowy day!
I know I asked you this before, but I forgot to go back and check for your answer (suffering from 'CRS'). What photo software do you use (or, perhaps you use several). I promise to check back here for your answer!!
Like an ochry mix of soft rainbow colours and gentle whispers of shadow! So creative and beautiful!
It's very warm and honey sweet. Makes me feel better just to look at it.
Yes, I'm glad you told us!
It's really pretty, and yes I'd like to see the whole thing. :)
reminded me of a chess piece helmet. :)
That is gorgeous!

Such lovely colors blending together in your photo. Mickie ;)
What an artistic shadow shot, it looks very middle eastern, look forward to seeing the complete thing.
What a cool art piece- I have no idea what it is, but it is fascinating.
Okay kiddo, what is that thing??
Love those days when we can just padder a round in our jammies! I seem to have many more of them as I age. Happy SSS.
Love the tone and texture!
