"you are the embodiment
of the information you choose to accept and act upon.
to change your circumstances you need
to change your thinking and subsequent actions."
 Adlin Sinclair

"the first step toward success is taken
when you refuse to be a captive of the environment
in which you first find yourself."
 Mark Caine

ah.
Sunday morning.
seventeen degrees.
and wind.
making it seem even colder.
there is no outside with the camera.
for this girl.
so. shots from.
indoors.
i must say.
we have been blessed
during this season.
of winter.
with above normal temps.
jack frost has been unable
to leave his artwork.
on the window.
until this morning.
my thoughts today.
turn towards.
success.
thus the quotes.
i have chosen.
i am starting a.
weight loss challenge today.
and speak of it here.
to make myself accountable.
i have spent money.
and now mentioned it here.
therefore.
no excuses.
i will be tracking my
steps in the sidebar.
here is to another.
first day of the rest of my life.
welcome to coffee hour.
welcome to this Sunday morning.
just BE.

Robin I love these photos .. I want to take ones just like this. I wanted to follow Kim's textures too but I have to get another program to use them .. that will have to wait.
I really like the quotes .. especially the music one : )
Ah .. this weight loss thing .. I am so not able to stick to a regime and yet I so need too .. I hate the constant beating myself up over it all .. that has to change and perhaps the rest might too ? LOL

joy-i think it's about one day at a time. one moment to the next. and if you falter in one of those moments...you have to be gentle with yourself. i have decided it's about the not trying in the first place that i have to get over. so-leap of faith-here i go!!
hugs~
just BE.

I love that rusty "something" shot the most. Great texture.
Good luck on your weight loss.
How creative and insightful of you to commit to it and then set forth a type of accountability via your blog; using your great quotes and photographs as a tool.
If you tackle your weight loss with half the gusto you put into taking beautiful photos you are sure to be a success.
Cheers,
Leah

Your photos are always so wonderful.
The first one here, I am not sure what the subject is, but it makes an interesting photo.
The fourth shot is interesting as well, it looks like frosty blades of grass or twigs, though it is not clear what is creating the frosty images.
The cocoa looks warm and inviting.
I tip my hat to you for starting a weight loss program. Good luck! If you are successful, do share your method!!

-5 when I awoke today. And yet I ventured out a little with my husband to photograph weeds and ice. Beautiful photos and quotes as always Robin.

Your photos are always so exquisite. Love the quotes you include as well.
This weight loss journey has been a very rocky one for me. Maybe we need a support group to cheer each other on. I know I need to restart mine. All the best!
