these are little scraps of magic

you get a memory of something
fine & strong, she said.
sometimes it takes till you're 40 to see it though.

A beautiful look at what is to be! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Robin! Enjoy! Stay warm!

It's wet and cold here, but the woodburning stove is keeping us cosy ..... as we enjoy a glass of wine, as it is late afternoon!
How unusual--and delightful--for you to photograph something as big as a Christmas tree plantation!
EVERYWHERE SHADOWS
Shadows above and shadows below,
Shadows that blaze and shadows that glow;
Shadows outside and shadows indoors,
Shadows on trees and shadows on floors;
Everywhere shadows calling my name,
Everywhere shadows no one can tame.

oh that's a gorgeous shot of a winter wonderland! I'm still awaiting the first snow here and was disappointed again that this morning's precipitation was in the form of rain. It's been missing us every time but one day, soon I hope, I will be seeing the magic of this season. I love the stillness it brings. happy weekend to you Robin. I envy you your wood stove!
Love this shot of the pines all in a row, heavy laden with the cool, white snow. Looks like a Christmas tree field...one of my father's many business ventures was raising Christmas trees. Thanks for the flashback! Now I'm missing the crackle of the fire and even the grey morning sky. Have a great weekend!
The tree farm has the magic look of Christmas past. Not fake evergreens and snow (as we do inside). But the look of the season, a magical white carpet of snow. We don't like to drive in it - but the look of the season is to be savored!
Sara this is such a deeply beautiful picture .. I'm not sure what it is but it has touched me. Pehaps a childhood memory of diamond snow on wonderfully scented evergreen boughs ? The sun at just the right angle .. perfect!
Joy : )
PS .. Robin .. I just typed Sara .. DUH ? LOL Sorry girl .. I have an easily diverted brain that types the last letters it sees ?eek!
Enchanting snow shadows! But I especially love the expression "scraps of magic"! Would you believe in our beginning summer world, I too am holding a cup of coffee for warmth!
Such a beautiful shot Robin! I hate to say that I'm looking forward to a coat of white all over everything...but then in a couple of weeks I'd be ready for tulips...well, maybe not quite :) Have a great weekend!!
Oh my! snow? I guess I am not ready with this, eh?
But as they say, but we can't keep Mother Nature away.
Happy SSS...

what a wonderfully peaceful shot, crisp and cool....
What a gorgeous shot, I love the sunlight against the snow together with the shadows.
Pure magic.
I can feel the crisp, cold air on my face as I view this and note the smell of the air and how QUIET it all seems with this lovely blanket of snow.
Most certainly scraps of magic!
Beautiful picture.
We don't have snow either. Today rain, rain, rain...and dark.
But. Only a couple of weeks and it's getting lighter minute by minute - can't wait.
Happy Sunday!
Magical indeed....what a lovely, LOVELY scene.
Here is my link to my shadow shots If a tree falls in the swamp, do you HEAR it?
Hope you're having a great weekend.
