...the stuff you believe in...

can you prove any of the stuff you believe in?
my son asked me
& when i said that's not how belief works,
he nodded
& said that's what he thought
but he was just checking to make sure
he hadn't missed a key point.
~storypeople

storypeople.
they did it to me again.
i love the key point for this time of year!!
the leaf was
creating a pattern as it
floated across the deck snow
this morning.
just had to capture it's
tiny shadow.
tracy is hosting for her last weekend.
come on over and check it out.
hoping for a lovely, stress-free-
people being kind and considerate,
kind of shopping day with my husband.
"never underestimate the power
and potential
of the human spirit"
just BE.

Delicate and oh-so-lovely! My son, of course asked me questions similar to that when he was little. Such as, Santa and the Easter Bunny. I said, that no one can dis-prove that they did not exist. Just because we cannot see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist, right?

sorry-I also meant to ask you how you get that aged photo frame on your banner image. It looks like its from photo software and I find myself wanting to do that effect! Thanks!

The leaf hangs on defiantly, skating across the snow. The seasonal changes are well shown here! As for faith, too many people want us to prove what you believe. Yet our faith inside will not be tested if our beliefs are true. There is no reason to justify our faith and belief systems. The boy knew that, only needing reassurance that faith comes from within us...

I love your shadow shot for the day -- of course, I always do! My children asked the same kinds of questions, too, when they were little. Hope you have a wonderful, stress free weekend, Robin!

Such lovely thoughts! Loved your son's question and the answer! Priceless! And then there is the gentle shadow of the leaf! Enchanting!

...and then the shadow vanished at the leaf skittered off the porch...

MANY SHADOW-SEEKERS SAY

Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”

Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

Excuse me, did you say the 's-word'...EWWWWWWWW...however, I still have some left on the North side of the house, where the ground is quite frozen, but on the South side, the chickens are dustin' n rollin' in the soft sand.

Hope you guys have a wonderful holiday, just make sure Tilda is stuffed with bridge mix...for medicinal purposes only!!!

Lovely Shadow Shot. I liked the storypeople quote too. I wish my mom had been that wise when I asked about faith as a child. Took me 37 years to understand it! Happy SSS.
