...sweater and light...

sometimes
our light goes out
but is blown into flame
by another human being.
each of us owes deepest
thanks
to those
who have rekindled
this
light.
~Albert Schweitzer
my light is rekindled
when i look upon
this sweater.
a sweater from
childhood.
when times were simpler...
which field will i chase butterflies in today.
what adventures will my barbies have.
where are we going today grandpa.
what shape does that cloud look like.
yes...my light is rekindled.
today.
with.
this.
sweater.
light+objects=shadows.
from whom or where does your light come from today?
just BE.

I wish I still had the seersucker jammies I wore each summer...they were so cool in our unconditioned home, didn't matter then, the oscillating fan cooled my dreams...

LOVE your new header lil' sister...stunningly simple...ahhh, the good life...

Good mornin' Tilda, thanks for the coffee and the memories girls!

That's lovely! I can see this as a promotional photo for selling the sweater - beatiful work! Very artistic. Such control over light and shadow!

I like the darkness and light that surrounds this sweater. You nicely touch upon childhood and how simple things were in those years. We had to care less about grown-up things, still learning was our job then, It is not so much dark as adults but certainly not as carefree...

A gorgeous image and such moving words. Sadly I no longer have any of my childhood clothes. I have some old toys and books from when I was a kid and I treasure those and the memories attached to them :)
