...antiquated...

An Antiquated Tree
by Emily Dickinson
An Antiquated Tree
Is cherished of the Crow
Because that Junior Foliage is disrespectful now
To venerable Birds
Whose Corporation Coat
Would decorate Oblivion's
Remotest Consulate.
with light
there are shadows.
many have captured them
and shared them
just BE.

This tree may be antique, but the colors on the trunk are soft and beautiful. The texture of the skin of this tree is highlighted in the goldenrod hue. The colors are not on the foliage, but the trunk offers a true beauty also...

What regal textures to this grand old friend...I'm a tree hugger and proud of it...I know all of my trees and every inch of my 6 acres.

Funny, when you dwell on a parcel of Earth, you get to know all of her features, blemishes and all...'cept when the 4 wheelers cut paths through my solitude, I lament of the scars...unnecessary destruction!

Have a wonderful weekend girls, enjoy your early precip, it's in the 50's here today...thanks for the java!

I love this photo and Emily Dickinson! What a perfect match!

I can get completely lost in the details of an old tree, and this example mesmerizing!
