...6.7.09...

i
shut
my
eyes
in
order
to
see.
~paul gauguin
today was not
spent in meditation
on the homestead...
we were in mancelona
for a baseball tournament.
the alarm went off at 7:30,
the coach then came over to
our camper and said the
games were cancelled due to the rain.
we packed up our belongings
and headed home.
we arrived home to find dearest Tilda
under the birch tree squashing tent worms.
you gotta love your neighbor (mom)
who would come over and squash the worms.
she, however, loves the birch trees...
and would do anything for the poor things.
she removed probably 500 or so
from them...no kidding!!! you think
you've gotten them all...in turning around
to the spot you just were...there are more!!
in all reality tho, if these worms on the trees
are our worst troubles right now...
then we aren't doing too bad!!
life is all about perspective,
let us be grateful,
let us
close
our
eyes
to
see.
thank you Papa God for this day-
and all the people said AMEN.
welcome to coffee hour.
welcome to sunday afternoon.
just BE.

I love your post. Yes, our moms are so special to us.. and those worms, curses. They sure do make enemies.. Enjoy your wonderful day. It may be gloomy, but it is God's day.
