...of the deeper things in life...

"the window of my soul i throw wide open to the sun"
~john greenleaf whittier

your spiritual side may suffer
from neglect
if you're busy with
childcare, or a profession, or simply
trying to make ends meet.
to give yourself a quick reminder
of the deeper things in life,
visualize a lotus blossom floating on a pond.
imagine light streaming out
from the flower's petals.
let the light fill you
with calm radiance
and bring harmony back to your life.
~1,001 ways to live in the moment

thank goodness
for photos and memories.
i sit here this morning.
with a heavy jacket.
and socks.
remembering.
warmth and sun.
the flowers are.
trying to stay.
optimistic that spring is here.
as they dodge the frost...
on that note.
let's head to HEY HARRIET
sun, warmth and shadows.
namaste.
just BE.
robin.

Love the blue-ish tones to your photos this morning. Great quotes as well. :)

The Spanish moss reminds me of an old man I once knew, who had a long, white beard!

I HAD A LITTLE SHADOW
(With apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson)

I had a little shadow
No bigger than my thumb;
I took him to the meadow
And there I gave him rum.

My drunken little shadow
Did weave and bob and pitch;
He stumbled from the meadow
And fell into a ditch!

Spring IS here - and we up north are very glad! The warmth envelops us now, the birds are singing at about 5:00 AM these days, so it is not only visual, but filled with aural reminders. The top shot shows flowers as if they are an abstract sun bursting in view. These days are pleasant indeed!

Beautiful images and thoughts too Robin. Spring really is here, really...I think it is like Tinker Bell, you know we need to believe!

Lovely post, and the plant in that first shot is remarkable. I don't think I've seen that before.

I'm so sorry that the cold is insisting to stay longer with you there. But, I do love your images and the reminder to slow down(we always need to be reminded of that). And, especially that busy bee buried in that blossom on your a=banner image!

Oh friend you torture...I so miss the palmettos and the Spanish moss, funny, but this morning as I was watching Scratchy bark at a bunny, the humidity in the air made me think of the still, humid air of Florida...I miss it so!!!

It is so dry here right now, I hate to say it, but we need rain. I watered my gardens yesterday and I swear the flowers grew 4 inches...it was in the eighties and same today...did I mention paradise...but still have my trusty wool sweater handy just in case...ha! But I actually slept with the windows wide open and took off the old flannel comforter...is it here???

Have a wonderful Sunday, hope you get some heat...I'll be in the hen yard if ya need me...putting the wire cover on it to protect from the meanies...thanks for the coffee and the reminders of my paradise!!!
