...keep to the simple...

in dwelling, live close to the ground.
in thinking, keep to the simple.
in conflict, be fair and generous.
in governing, don't try to control.
in work, do what you enjoy.
in family life, be completely present.
~lao tzu

doesn't get much
simpler than a single
rosebud shadow.
so far,
this morning.
it is gorgeous.
much to do in the way of an open house.
will i steal some time to just sit and enjoy.
yes.
because that is the only way i will
get anything done.
light + objects = shadows.
enjoy your moments.
just BE.
robin.

Agreed-it doesn't-nor the the unspoken beauty tire. Exquisite image. Embodies 'vanitas' all the way through. The transience of life.
have a great open house!

A very good quote - and a fabulous shot of the rosebud. I hope you get some time to just sit ....

that is indeed a lovely simple shot...

The single rosebud seems forlorn by itself. Yet the pastel pink looks lively when set against the weathered wood. The wood shows the experiences of age, the pink the promise of youth. Combined, they give us a nice look at subtle extremes!

The poor, neglected blossom...and yet you found it. Or perhaps it found you...

MY BLINGLESS SHADOW

A shadow’s an odd sort of thing;
It might have a nose or a wing,
A tail like a dog,
A bump like a log,
But one thing it has not is bling!

I'm gonna haul the woollies back upstairs for the last time Tilda...I'M OVER IT!!!

Love it so simple yet speaks heaps. I love the quote, I have another from Lao Tzu that I love it is :

While loving someone deeply gives you courage"

Have a great week.
