All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them, nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
Woodrow Wilson 1856

A beautiful shadow shot as always, Robin, and I LOVE Wilsons quote! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
It would seem that this place is inhospitable for a flower to grow. Yet it does despite the odds, keeping its hope of growing. Which it does...
Oh, I like it :-)

beautifully composed, the flower is such a lovely contrast to the wood panelling
love the texture of the wood. And the subtle shadow. :)
The delicate shadow against the old wood makes me start dreaming of what might have been...
Shadowy Irrigation Canal
The rustic wood textures seem to be touched with gold! A very atmospheric photo!
The textures of the wood contrast the softness of that yellow flower...
Very nice photo. :)
A piece of art.
I'm having a break again, my son with his family keep us busy and it's nice to be free and enjoy short but beautiful summer....
Happy Sunday!
The spiky flower makes quite an unusual shadow against that wonderful old wood. Love your quote, too.
The alternating red and white makes me wonder if this is the striped section of our flag weathered outdoors in a garden?
Only after gazing awhile dreaming about the flower did this occur to me. I love images that tell a story.
I hope my dreams come true too (and hope there is no limit) and I hope yours do too! I did an audible gasp when I laid eyes on your image. Qualifies literally, as breathtaking!
I LOVE the photo--very creative. Woodrow Wilson said it very well-nice quote. Have a lovely weekend. Mickie :)
