imagine you're smiling,
without moving your lips.
in china a similar approach is said to activate tan tien,
the energy store just below the navel.
allow the smile to travel
within you and sit in your abdomen,
radiating warmth through your being.
~1,001 ways to live in the moment
fall.
has fallen.
it is such a short season.
stepped out gently.
into the 36 degree morning.
to breathe.
coolness into my lungs.
to catch the frost.
(and shadows).
in one still frame.
hold on fall...
just a little bit longer.
just BE.

Gorgeous. The second is my favorite. I like the way the frost has lined the leaf. Nice images and words.
The frosty mist seems to descend onto the trees - the essence of the short autumnal season. Cool in the morn and warmer later, the contrasts are arresting and we love the variability of the days. The pumpkin shows us the harvest that is the season. Cool and changeable, this is a season we really enjoy...
Such beautiful captures for the day, Robin! I do love the first one and the second one, but they're all delightful! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend!!
What beautiful captures. The second one is just heavenly with it glow and bokeh and at the same time its shadows. The first one could well be a painting on your wall and the last one one is so thought provoking. What a wonderful series this week. I used to have a frame in my frame folder similar to the one in your banner picture. I would love to know where you got it. I cannot find mine for the life of me. Happy Weekend. Genie
What beautiful shots - the delicate stems on the leaf especially so!
Beautiful shots Robin...the view of those trees is breathtaking....32 degrees or not!! Hard to believe it was so hot here during the beginning of the week....almost 80 and now we are back down to the high 40s....crazy!! Do enjoy your weekend!!
What a wonderful progression amongst those three images from grand to the macro-and I love them all!
Robin girl hello there : )
I love your shots .. this is what I want to see in my back garden .. waiting for our beautiful maple tree to drop those gorgeous leaves .. you have captured the frost so well .. I think I can feel it too !
Joy : )
Love the quote as well .. I am trying to do it !
Your pictures are beautiful Robin. I think my favourite one is the mist across the trees. The frozen mist hangs low for a while but then the sun shines through and when it does, the mist and the cold break up and they have to leave.
Adore the soft whimsical mystery in the first photo but the second photo suggests a fragment of a beautiful moment! So lovely!
'to catch the frost and shadows'.....sounds magical!!! I especially like the 2nd photo from the top, with the rim of rime around the leaf.
The baby blue-green pine trees in the midst is gorgeous. I feel I can never capture scenery shots to do it any justice.
Great job.
Cheers,
Leah
I always enjoy visiting your blog.
I love the frosted edge of the leaf, very nice shot. You caught the frost and shadows very well! Wonderful photos and words.
Happy Sunday!
The frost photo makes me shiver, probably because I'll never see such a sight here in the Sonoran Desert!
I love these shots
but I don't miss Finnish winter at all - I spoke with my mother today and there's 14F in Helsinki right now, brrrrrr...
Here in Málaga, more or less 68F but nights are cool but not cold.
Hope your week will be good!
