...life brings changes...

it's when life brings
changes our way
that acceptance is hardest for us.
fresh circumstances often
challenge us deeply.
in periods of transition,
don't rush to make judgements
about how comfortable
the new situation will be for you.
allow things time
to settle down,
and face the future with an open mind.
~1,001 ways to live in the moment
old door.
a weed standing in darkness.
surround by a shadow.
yes...
i do love chasing them.
as do these people...
thanks to tracy
for hosting this every week.
just BE.

I love the shadow shot and the words -- great reminder to see the beauty and accept the changes! Just the ones I needed to read today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Robin!

Photo & prose! What a wonderful thing to match.

Perfect...

P.S.
been sitting here, analysing your shadow. Is this a sort of microphone? & U standing there browsing your hair?

Not bad guess, right? just a cutie thoughts of U.

Wondrous weed,
tell me your secrets—
I am listening…

The massive shadows seem to cover the door, blotting out all light it seems isn a massive way. Yet the delicate shadow stands out all the more, slender and slight it seems, it overpowers the large shadow, thus the meek is actually the stronger here...

Your photo is stunning in its simplicity! And the words that accompany it are perfect..keeping an open mind and cultivating positive expectation make change less of a threat, and more of a wonderful opportunity. I so enjoyed this post...:)

Yes, transitions are stressful and we do indeed need time to adjust.

I like your soft shadow.

Love the fine fragility of the weed's shadow on the old door! A story could easily evolve from this! And love your words about new circumstances! That seems to be my space lately so I know I simply need to walk slowly and keep alert!

Great words there! I often have difficulty adapting to change. That little weed must feel special. It appears as though a spotlight is shining upon it! A lovely find!

OMG...have you been reading my mind???

Turning 61 this year has brought me many life changing issues, more aches and pains for sure, but mere survival with only one income in this crazy mixed up economy...I'm working on not dwelling on it and trying to stay creative and positive and NEVER listen to the news, that would make me insane...so I weave my web of aloneness, sheltering myself(and Scratchy)from them that would destroy or bend, fold and mutilate...after all, it is what it is and to expect more would be giving in to the ego.

I'll just push forward with grace and peace of mind, knowing that I tried my best...and just breathe!

Icky, rainy all day today here too, what a year, but,
I HAVE A GARAGE!!!

YAYYYY!!!

See ya for a cuppa!
