the sun
made it to
my home
one
day
this week.
warmth on my face,
the smell of fall...
of fallen leaves
and
these
shadows
boldly
stood
out
once i looked their way.
a
simple clothespin.
the
evening sun.
a
shadow.
i was on top of the world.
happy and content.
because it was simple.
it's just that simple...
just BE.

Simple words of wisdom, all in a day of brief sunshine, loving the wee things is what makes us LARGE(and chocolate too)...
I love your C.A.T. shots and so does Scratchy...mmmmm...lunch!!!
Thanks for the java lil' Sis...hey Tilda
I love this shot. So simple. Love the words too.
The clothespins look stark, perhaps forlorn as the evening shadows seem to be longer and arrive earlier than before. But these functional items still await the washed clothes whether Autumn or any season. The daylight may dim earlier, but their work may continue in any season...
beautiful words and photos!
I do love the simplicity of your very creative shadow shot! And your words are exquisite!
Enjoy your weekend!
Sylvia
Often the simplest pleasures are the most satisfying. Observing shifting shadows is a favorite pastime of mine since I was a little girl. Lovely post. Thanks for sharing.
Happy SSS.
Love the pictures. and your thoughts.
My motto is, 'it's a gift to be simple'.
So nice to see clothespins on a line outdoors. They look especially beautiful the way you captured them in warm sunlight with dark shadows.
Oh, those clothespins are to DIE for! Love the details you caught!
There's something lovely about clothes pegs! Great shots and I love the poem you wrote too.
Simple and a reminder of simpler times.
I took the time to catch up on your posts and love the uncluttered look on many of your leaf shots. They are a beautiful tribute to the season.
Oh yes the simple things! Your shadowy shots of the clothes pegs are sweet. The pegs in the first photo appear to be reaching out for the sun as would a flower. And the second photo shows them content, warm, snuggly and having a nap. I love it! Very nice poem also.
Pegs - so simple yet so effective. What lovely images you have captured, with your photos and your words.
Just stopped by for a cup of Joe and to scroll down to past posts I've missed, the 92 year old man struck a cord...I sent it to my 81 year old Dad, he'll get a tear in his eye for sure, a gentle man who embraces the simple things...I love him so!!!
Have a great Sunday lil' soul sister...I'll be painting as soon as the sun comes out from under the clouds...should be another beautiful day...however, I'll love it all the same...ahhh...breathe...
Hey Tildy...s
