what a happy little fellow.
catching the morning sun.
i, however, almost squashed him.
coming out the door with my
morning coffee and camera.
at the last minute i realized.
this was a little creature.
stepped over him wildly.
spilling my coffee.
but not on the camera.
and he then sat proudly for his shadow shot.
none the worse for the encounter.
happy SSS day.
you know what to do.
head to HEY HARRIET.
and have a great day!!!
just BE.

How funny, I chased a baby toad around the yard last night for a shadow shot, losing the sun in the process...dern it...but as I was doing it, I was struggling with the lawn mower and the idea of a poem about a toad...so I guess all was not lost on the fairy princess and the toad, a memory of my Granny filled my words with promise this AM...
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, it's raining here today, we need it so I won't complain...all in a day in the life...thanks for the coffee, glad you missed the camera!
Hey Tilda, have a wonderful barefoot weekend!

Cool! For such a little frog, he casts a long shadow.
so many miles away and yet so close in the moments of our lives...i had a basket shadow to put up today and went for the tree toad instead...must have been that morning coffee together that changed my mind!!!
chillish and windy in MI today...already have spied some leaves changing color...sigh!!!
Glad you didn't squish him! He makes for a happy shot!
he he... I can see and feel in my thoughts how you do stepped on the poor froggie!
Yay! nasty if you squeeze him but hey! at least U got that perfect shot, huh?
Have a blissful SS...

He almost looks like he's smilling over the fact that he's now a shadow shots star.... or is it because he made you spill your coffee?!
Karla & Karrie
oh he is adorable, waht a lovely creature.....
I'll be posting another SSS shot tomorrow....
we used to get little frogs around our old willow tree - it is one of the few things we miss from our old house.
He was probably waiting for his cup of coffee in the sun, cute little fellow that he is, and you had to spill it! Still, he looks very forgiving and I think there's even a smile there.
Froggy is he...hmmm?
Happy to be Free...
(Yoda speak :)
Oh, frog of my heart,
whenever I see you hop,
I just fall apart!
My Shadow Shots
Good morning lil' sister and Tilda...I'm off to Palo early this AM, we got the lil' cottage, so today I paint the front room and it's darling pillars 'WHITE', then we move all the stuff right in from across the street, tomorrow I'll post of the progress in this darling lil' country cottage, in a quaint lil' country town...then the games begin!!!
Thanks for the coffee my friends...I'm off(and who didn't know that)...
Jumpy shadows!
His face is so sweet, and I especially love how his little front feet are tucked in like a sleeping cat. So tiny!
Sweet shots! So glad to didn't step on the cute little critter. I'm sure he enjoyed slurping up the coffee. I imagine him bouncing around much faster now :)
