...week two. be still...

I’m old enough to wear red boots any time I want, she said.
She wanted to be buried in them, but her son had them put
her in taupe pumps instead. She wore red all winter long so
the ambulance could find her quicker if she fell in a snow bank
& also it hides dirt. She had married early
& had always been a pragmatist.

Find a simple subject…. an uncluttered background.
those are the words she spoke.
i usually do.
work off center.
love that she prompted.
more to try it.
Quiet…. can be central to making beautiful still art. Creativity grows in stillness…
solitude.. silence. In quiet you will hear your inner voice…. deep within… You will find your focus.

breathe.
in.
the.
stillness.
find the beauty.
in the landscape.
as the sun.
slips out.
from behind a cloud.
enjoy the moments.
just BE.

I am taking this class with Kim as well. Her words have dug deep for me and I am finding that I am not near as still inside as I thought I was. I have been challenged in different ways. Glad to know you are in the class as well....

Love this-the image and the words. Perfection. I believe I am a bit off center too-birds of a feather...
