...like the leaves of a book...

what you need to know about the past
is that no matter what has happened,
it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment.
and this is the moment you can choose to make everything new.
right now.

each has his past shut in him like the leaves of a book
known to him by heart and his friends can only read the title

the photos.
are of november past.
november today.
is one of frost and fog.
while the frost and fog.
is beautiful.
there is no sun for shadows.
isn't it wonderful.
that we can draw on the past.
through our photos.
for that.
one still frame.
 in time.
what does your day look like?
just BE.
robin.

I happily refer to archives for shadows - the digital world of the past is full of artistry we hadn't considered before but love to discover again...the shed and implements may be old but in shadow it is as fresh as the cool autumn day...

Yes, it is wonderful that we can draw from the past! Love the ones you picked out for us today. It was really foggy here this morning when I took my daughter to basketball practice..."now why didn't this fog happen yesterday morning so we could have a delay" is what I heard ~ lol!!

The last photo of the leaves silhouetted against the sun really speaks to me, Robin.

Just beautiful.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend.

The soft falls of Autumn light and shadows in the first photo are gorgeous! Such a quiet, thoughtful scene! And then the lighting in the macros is beautiful!

I have to say that I have never found so much stillness and beauty in November like I have this year. Our own weather finally turned here, giving plenty of light. Love the still and dormant feeling of your photo sequence here.
And the sameness of each passing season, year after year is a comfort isn't it?
Cheers,
Leah

Love the photos. Each one is a beautiful shot. I think my favorite is the last one. Love the sun in the background and how the leaves are in shadow, beautiful!

What a beautiful post!
It's been raining more or less the whole day today in Málaga.
My internet connection was dead...what kind of day is this?
It's a day to study! :)
Have a good week ahead!
