...fresh air flows in...

today outside
today inside
image reflected from an old mirror
every time you reject
a weak or negative thought
because it's unworthy of you,
you create space for something better.
this process operates like breathing-
fresh air flows in
automatically to replace the stale
air you breathe out.
there can be no life
where there's no breath:
apply this logic to your inner life too,
and feel yourself thoroughly refreshed.
~1,001 ways to live in the moment

i was up in time
to catch
some sun.
it is not looking
like we will
have much today.
today's list:
basketball
groceries
more basketball.
taxes.
fafsa.
homemade pizza.
movie.
but before all of that...
objects + light = shadows
join us.
what is your weekend looking like?
just BE.
robin.

The top view looks less like snow, but more like white sands on a beach at low tide. Inviting and summer like. The indoor shadows do feel a bit warmer. The simple or more complex shadows in either venue are comforting and lovely. Yes, FAFSA needs to be done in our abode too!

Yes, can't you feel the Spring ever so close now, even as temps are only slightly higher, guess we'll be getting 40's next week...YAYYYYY!!!

Had to chuckle about the snow coming off your roof, mine did the same overnight, then the next day as I was grooming dogs, I blew a fuse, so I went OUTSIDE to my basement doors, you know, the ol'timey ones that lift up so you can walk down the steps...you guessed it, all the snow had fallen on the door and frozen tight...had to get a pic-axe to get them opened...ahhhh winter, how thou doth tease...!

You can identify...ha!

Hey Tilda, can we retire the woollies yet??? I wish!!!

Have a great weekend girls!

Lovely shadow shots as always, Robin, and as always, I love your words for the day and they are just the reminder I needed for today. You have a long "to do" list so I'm sure your weekend will be a busy one! Hope you have some sun!!

Hope you get through your to-do list - especially the homemade pizza! Super shadow shots, and I love the quote.

Beautiful. I love the misty memory quality of the light in that second one. Great quote, too.

I see you have lots of snow too and just enough sun to create shadows. :)

Such subtle, delicate shadows on the snow!

A SEEKER OF SHADOWS

A seeker of shadows one day
Asked shadows to come out and play:
“O shadows, my dears,
Despite all my fears,
I hope you will not run away.”

I was thinkig the same as Ralph about your first photo. It reminds me of the beach! Although your 'sand' may not be as hot as regular sand! I like your list. All except the taxes part. I hope you enjoy your pizza! Have a lovely week Robin :)

Neat ShadowShots. I do especially like the quote though...I find some of those weak/negative thoughts trying to squeeze out my joy at times. It's been a really rough week for me, so I need to do some breathing therapy! Thanks for that. On the up side, my sweetie has surprised me with taking Monday off work and an overnight trip to Prescott with the pooches for V-Day. More fresh air!!
