...determine how it will be spent...

thinking of you Inez Christine Johnson Byers

time is the coin of your life.
it is the only coin you have, and only you
can determine how it will be spent.
be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.
Carl Sandburg

the new year will be here soon.
time to let go of those words.
that allow other people to spend our time.
hate.
jealousy.
anger.
you know the words.
take back your time.
and spend it in.
peace.
harmony.
contentment.
it is fourteen degrees.
and windy snow.
inside shadows today.
enjoy the moments.
just BE.
robin.

Blessed be all clocks, for they keep us on track. Such simple little beacons on life's way!

Wise words and an evocative image. I always feel like time is slipping away; there's never enough.

Wow-an amazing quote find! I may need to add that to my quote treasury! And such a befitting shot to go with it too. AND, am loving the new banner image-the blurred out red in the background is so sweet! An invitation to sit and just be.

The photo expresses a sense of urgency, a feeling of time ticking away. But a lot can happen between the 3 and the 4!

Love the idea of time being the coin of our life. Carl Sandberg always manages to reel in the clever spin on words with dramatic punch. Beautiful perspective of the clock - one hand is so symbolic.

Great shot!
It's so peaceful in Spain now, people sleep late and relax - we have holidays for 4 days, tomorrow is a holiday too.
Out I go.
Happy Sunday!
