...to welcome spring...

now when the primrose makes a splendid show,
and lilies face the march-winds in full blow,
and humbler growths as moved with one desire put on,
to welcome spring, their best attire,
 poor robin is yet flowerless;
but how gay with his red stalks upon this sunny day!
~william wordsworth

this is not my typical shadow shot.
but it is.
as you can see.
a robin.
and there are shadows from the tree.
how could i not use this shot for the day.
yes.
i am a happy soul.
now that the robin's.
have returned.
just BE.
robin.

This little character seems a little unsure of his place in this still wintry world! Beautiful ambience!

Our avian friend is surveying the land as Spring us filling the land. He does not know that the worst of winter is gone for good as there is snow still on the ground - but the stronger sun and shadow beckon the warmer days of new nests and life. Perhaps he is a bit mre confident here...Happy Easter to you and yours!

Robin - 'rastas' in Finnish.
We have them here too but I guess different from yours...
We've had beautiful sunny days but frozen nights, so we have still a lot of snow but it's getting better! :)
Happy Easter!

Hello Robin girl and thank you for your kind words !
It is busy and in total dishevelment in this nest but it will be back to almost normal soon, yet not our usual normal .. but a happy change for us all : )
I am hoping better times have been happening for your little nest there too ?
I know seeing your name sake there is a moment of contentment finally!! .. and so let the robins sing : )
