i so love books that are inspirational.
here are a few that i love.
back cover of the velveteen principles
a guide to becoming real
toni raiten-d'antionio
even in a complex world,
simple truths can change everything.
once upon a time, a velveteen rabbit
learned that new isn't necessarily better...
that the quiet wisdom of an old toy horse
can change the world...
that honest friendships and understanding
can warm the heart...
that a good book can make the
world a better place...
and that love can make us real.
but where do we find honest, warmth and friendship?
what are real values, real goals, real love, a real life?
and most importantly, how can we rediscover our own
true selves?
the simple wisdom of a classic children's story
the velveteen rabbit can be the start of your return to real.
let this book show you the way.
life is a verb~patti digh
37 days to wake up. be mindful and live intentionally
what would you be doing today if you only had 37 days to live?
the death of her stepfather just 37 days after being diagnosed with cancer
woke patti digh up, scared her, and made her examine her own life.
she realized that living your best life doesn't mean ditching your job and
sailing around the world--it means living each individual,
glorious, simple day with more intention.
eat, pray, love
elizabeth gilbert
in her early, thirties, elizabeth gilbert had everything a modern american
woman was supposed to want--husband, country home, successful
career--but instead of feeling happy and fulfilled, she felt consumed by
panic and confusion. this wise and rapturous book is the story of how she
left behind all these outward marks of success, and of what she found
in their place. following a divorce and a crushing depression, gilbert
set out to examine three different aspects of her nature, set against the
backdrop of three different cultures: pleasure in italy, devotion in india,
and on the indonesian island of bali, a balance between worldly enjoyment
and divine transcendence.
ordinary sparkling moments
reflections on success and contentment
christine mason miller
Is it possible to find meaning in our day to day existence?
Can wisdom be attained while we run errands, do the dishes and pay our bills?
Ordinary Sparkling Moments - a joyful combination of the writing,
collage and photography of Christine Mason Miller - explores these questions and more,
celebrating the deeper truths that await our
discovery in some of life's most mundane moments.
This book is written from the experiences of a woman on the cusp of 40,
evolving into a place where she trusts her own wisdom and beliefs - knowledge and
confidence earned through quiet observation and appreciation
of all the experiences life offers her, from the grand to the routine.
Many of life's moments may be ordinary, but just beneath the surface there exists plenty of
sparkle and delight; Ordinary Sparkling Moments honors all
the unexpected places meaning can be found and all the surprising
ways we can uncover our most authentic selves.

I love your dreamy book photos! And I've only read one of these four books (Eat, Pray, Love)...I will definitely look into the other three because they sound like they're right up my alley. Thanks so much for sharing...have a good day!
I have heard of all of these, and have read several books with similar message, and am such a staunch believer of the simple, yet radical message these book say.
Where would we be without books?
Cheers,
Leah
I also love inspirational books. Many are keepers to be read over and over.
