...bursts forth from the soul...

"laughter is the shock absorber that eases the blows of life"

"a smile starts on the lips,
a grin spreads to the eyes,
a chuckle comes from the belly;
but a good laugh
bursts forth from the soul,
overflows,
and bubbles all around"
Carolyn Birmingham

Wonderful shadow shot -- past or present and I do love your words for the day, Robin! Hope you have a great weekend -- maybe with less rain!

Nice capture ~ I imagine you enjoying a glass of wine outdoors on a sunny day!

Not a bad way to relax. ;-)

I hope to have a 'burst forth from the soul' laugh today. Hope you have one as well.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope the sun returns to your neck of the woods.

The brightness filters through the stemware, the sun adding even more character to the tabletop in both subject and shadow. I assume the wiry item is perhaps an earring, its unassuming shape adding more style. Happily, we accumulate shadowy views for the occasional rainy day - the bright sky more than offsets the gray and rainy sky every time...

If only we all had more to laugh and smile about! A lovely shadow shot - I like the charm on the glass.

the wire jewlery is just for wine glasses. i got them with wine glasses as a present a while back. the rain today has been much needed rain. not complaining about it at all. wish we could share with those out there who are in desperate need of it. thanks to all for stopping by.

Every time I come here, my soul is touched with the simplicity and power of the images you choose to share. Thank you.

IF SHADOWS

If shadows could jump,
How high would they go?
As high as the moon?
Does anyone know?

If shadows could weep,
How long would they cry?
As long as it takes
To climb to the sky?

If shadows could laugh
And tell funny jokes
Would you take them home
And say, “Get this, folks!”?

If shadows could wed,
Would they prefer you
Or somebody else
To promise, “I do”?

Great shadow shot, so nice and subtle. And it looks so warm, and still.

While you are all basking in the sunshine and heat, we in the southern hemisphere are battling sleet, hail and cold winds.

Ooh, really nice one. The glass, the bending of the light, the texture of the wood--all lovely.

(when did those clothes pins become lavender? oh, never mind! they are fabulous).
So very true about a good laugh-the embodiment of positive energy, for sure!
