...simply falls away...

some people find
forgiveness
is one of the hardest
qualities to summon.
however,
if you truly
live in the present,
so that the past
simply falls away,
forgiveness ceases
to require any effort:
it's what's left
when resentments
are annihilated
by
acceptance.
light + objects= shadows
and looking for the combination
is amazingly addictive.
join us.
the above topic of forgiveness
is from the little book of
1,001 way to live in the moment
where are you
going to live today?
just BE.

This swing is a wonderful place to contemplate and gather your thoughts when it is warm. Even in winter, it looks like a simple place to unwind. The simple act of merely swinging gently seems to sooth the soul. A wonderful capture!

Wise words and a lovely, subtle reflection. :)

It looks like that swing is on a beach with the ocean in the background. Just the way the light shines on the patterns in the snow. How gorgeous! I think I need to track down a copy of that little book :)

People have often asked how I so easily forgave the woman that broke up my marriage...that was yesterday and today is now...

I'm so wanting to wallow in your sunlight lucky girl. Most of our snow has been washed away by the continual rains, tomorrow and Monday too, but maybe Tuesday we'll be blessed by the sun...see for coffee in the AM friend!

we sometimes believe "that forgiveness implies some sort of weakness. the opposite is true......it takes a tremendous fortitude...courage...love...and compassion to forgive what we sometimes judge as unforgiveable...acceptance is simply acknowledgement....not submission.."....beautiful picture.....robin....and beautiful words.........
