I, for one, love the gift of silence. There are times when I wish I could be better at it in order to be a better listener. Because it is true, if you are not silent, you cannot hear the whispers of the universe.

Silence can be a gift if it is appreciated and valued. Sadly, there is also the silence of tension, when it is better to speak quietly to enhance understanding. But again, tense silence can breed tense, explosive sharp words. Now I'm raving.
