...laughter is the sun...

laughter is the sun
that drives winter from the human face.
~victor hugo
and there
was laughter.
tuesday when these were taken.
but.
and i hate to sound like.
a broken record.
but.
since then.
rain.
cold rain.
and today.
twenty-nine degrees.
and snow.
seriously.
everyone you meet is edgy.
it is way past time.
for sun.
thankfully you will find more here.
shadows are the bonus.
just BE.

  1. Oh, I surely don't envy you your weather, Robin! Ours has been and is gray, cloudy and rainy, but not that cold. The flowers/colors are exquisite and such lovely shadow shots for the day!! Hope you get some more sun -- soon!! Have a good weekend and stay warm!

  2. Robin, my husband was just watching the news and the meteorologist said we have had six months worth of winter already. That's half a year! I am really looking forward to the sun as well!

Your crocus blooms certainly brighten this cloudy morning!

  3. Surely that freak cold will leave you all soon. The little crocus do not like all of that wet heavy stuff on top of them. These are nice macro shots with some bokeh in the background. genie

  4. It's been raining here too and nights are still really cold. Today was sunny but the wind was hard and cold.
Let's try to be positive...it will get warmer! :)
    Beautiful shots as always.

  7. A bee and some crocuses--can spring be far behind? (Well, apparently it can. I just read your comment about flurries on another blog. Sheesh!)

  8. And we can never have too much laughter!
And, just look at that busy bee! Love those captures you have. Bees and trees-now, that another thing you can't have too much of!

  11. It all feels like a time lapse from leaves sprouting to bee pollinating - the warm days of colors and full of life. Digital memories that help us get past a cold rain and dream of the Spring...
