clouds come floating into my life,
no longer to carry rain or usher storm,
but to add color to my sunset sky.

the rain started.
about 1:30am
and lasted until the sunset
came.
about 5 inches for some.
what a delight for my
camera's eye.
(this is one of my most
treasured times).
to capture all the
sunset raindrops.
(and shadows).
as the earth smiles.
it is that time again.
just BE.

The clouds may be a metaphor for gloom to some. Yet, the clouds and moisture within allow the faintest sun to leave pastels we could never see without the rainy gray before. The rain, needed by many, leaves a treat that starts our day wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteExquisite capture and one of my special favorites by Tagore! Your header is gorgeous, too! Our rain is supposed to stop today and I am SO ready for some sunshine! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Robin!

some frown when they see rain in the forcast....but look at the beauty it brings! After the rain yesterday I had to go out and take pictures of my snowball tree...long, heavy branches almost touching the ground with big pompom flowers ~ it was so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI love the transparency of it!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful photo, the light is wonderful and that drop of rain is so perfectly positioned on the edge of the leaf
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color and light. Love this photo.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell after a rain. Everything is so fresh.
A perfect match of image and words-which speaks of something we don't see often enough around here: rain.
ReplyDeleteLove them both!
Between the shadows and the raindrops this is a stunning capture! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLeaves and shadows meld together in perfect harmony, creating a feast for the eyes and soul.
ReplyDeleteI have read and re-read Tagore's quote! A magical idea to remember! So beautiful and a wonderful complement to the wonder of the light and shadow in your photo! Namaste!
ReplyDeleteYour sunset is absolutely beautiful/ It has been raining here but I think it is going to end soon. Your leaves are beautiful. I adore the hues. Lovely post this week. Thanks for your visit. genie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love all the details, the colors and the shadows.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean by that moment after rain...you captured it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteAll that rain brought such beauty to your world!
ReplyDeleteI love the light playing on the leaves. The shadows are wonderful.
Sorry for visiting this shadow post a week late...I cannot keep up with life, it seems.

Our arts council is hosting a poetry reading next Saturday night at the gallery. I would like to participate, but I have a difficult time writing poetry. But I'm going to try!
