...ferns...

“I had heard the old Indian legend about the red fern. How a little Indian boy and girl were lost in a blizzard and had frozen to death. In the spring, when they were found, a beautiful red fern had grown up between their two bodies. The story went on to say that only an angel could plant the seeds of a red fern, and that they never died; where one grew, that spot was sacred.”

  1. The new growth of the ferns are poignant - special for you to remember your kitty friend now gone. Yet, like the red ferns, the shade will cover the area so you know the angelic spirit is still with you...I like the 'dragonfly' too!

  4. Your photos are awesome, as always. I had not heard of the Indian boy and girl red fern story, but have read the book and seen the movie titled, "Where The Red Fern Grows". It was about a boy and his two dogs ... Dan and Little Ann. A very good story.
    Happy Sunday!

  6. Cool shots!
We're back from Berlin, what a great city.
Too big to explore the whole city but enough to get an idea.
Here in Helsinki it's sunny today. Soon we're going for a loooong walk. Happy Sunday!
