"If you cannot be a poet, be the poem."
david carradine
what a difference a week makes...
last Sunday above.
to today below.
"To live content with small means;
to seek elegance rather than luxury;
and refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respectable;
and wealthy, not rich;
to study hard, think quietly,
talk gently, act frankly;
to listen to stars and birds,
to babes and sages,
with open heart;
to bear all cheerfully,
do all bravely,
await occasion,
hurry never;
in a word,
to let the spiritual,
unbidden
and unconscious
grow up through the common.
This is to be my symphony."
william ellery channing
again.
what a difference a week makes.
today.
coffee, while walking,
around the back yard.
with just a fleece.
and a scarf wrapped.
around my neck.
suddenly 45 degrees.
sunshine.
no wind.
my little world.
takes on new color.
the blue is brighter.
the green is richer.
and even the browns.
are beautiful.
spring is gently.
walking towards us.
a spiritual awaken.
with the earth and heaven.
that cannot be overlooked.
that cannot be denied.
one must never.
take for granted.
one moment.
welcome to coffee hour.
welcome to this Sunday morning.
just BE.
robin.
