of ground still frozen.
of grass matted, flat
having a bad hair day.
of  colors still muted.
of snow.
still trying to hold on,
but losing the battle against the sun.
of muddy roads.
of daffodil and tulip shoots
piercing the soil.
of a leaf
that lay protected under winter's cover.
that will now return
back to the earth as it crumbles apart.
of awakening.
slowly.
of being grateful
for winter.
as it steps aside...
and lets spring happen.
of awakening.
welcome to coffee hour.
welcome to this Sunday morning.
just BE.

  1. First time here for me. Sorry I've missed out in the past as I see wonderful photos here. I really like the first one, a rock embedded in the grassy ground perhaps?
    This is the secong shaodow shot that had a cup of coffee, (edit), a full cup of coffee sitting in the shot. Guess i'll go have one.

    Nice stuff.

  4. I was wondering how your snow was holding up, per the last shots I got from Tilda...yayyy...Spring...on the weather radio this AM, they said the 'S'word for next week...ha...ol' man Winter, you don't scare me!!!
