...august break-day twenty-one...

if you have nothing at all to create,
then perhaps you create yourself.
~ carl jung
i think everyday
we are creating
ourselves.
profound or small.
whether visible to someone else
or not.
you know.
never stop creating.
light + objects=shadows
it's that time again.
just BE.

  1. I feel like I'm in a whirlwind of creativity...it never ends...some days I just want to say...

    MAKE IT STOP...

But it passes instantly and I'm back in the whirlwind of my own creation again.

Can't wait to get home from work this afternoon...have new projects I'm dieing to start...SEE...it never ends!

    Yippee!!!

  3. The pot of clay is nondescript, perhaps plain. Not lovely, but that's not its mission. The beauty is what we add to the simple pot - the loveliness of nature is what we seek to enhance in our lives. Flowers, herbs or whatever give a leafy look of nature. The pot alone is for naught unless we add the beauty we savor...

  6. Love the quote-I also happen to admire his work/writings.
Love your shot too! Did you notice that it is a face kind of mask? See the eye there? You can only see one half of the mask.
Maybe it's because I just posted a bunch of masks!

  10. Beautiful contrast of textures and play of light! A meditative image!

And I relate to the creativity! I am in a whirlwind of writing! Maybe all the cold rainy weather helps! But today was wonderful sunlight! Such a heavenly change!

  11. Hi Robin, I finally got a chance to come take a peek at your blog, and I'm so happy I did . . . I've been sitting here for a long time, drinking it all in. Your pictures are beautiful -- I can feel you walking around, seeing, composing, breathing. I'm with you on the photography/meditation! I LOVE Susannah's post about photography being her yoga . . .

Your writing is wonderful . . . thank you for sharing your Self. I could easily comment on each and every post! Please know that your words have helped me breathe as I sit here reading at 3 am (!)
