  3. Yep, winter is still upon us.

For a while there I was wearing two pairs of socks. Not wool ones, but two pairs.

I love that quote. So true.

  4. Yes, the parent ads that layer of warmth to the child, feeling it to be the best. Love is that unconditional feeling of taking care of our charges before ourselves. Especially in the cold winter - the warmth of love is what keeps us going in all seasons...

  5. Had me chuckling, that quote did. Took me a while to figure out that my little boy runs warm. Still does at 22!

  7. The gentle sunlight on the jumper adds a cosiness, a closeness to it. Such a lovely personal scene.

    Nicely done.
Its been a long time since I participated in SSS2, but I've noticed I am not taking time for photography much these days, and miss the company of other photographers and poets.
    Cheers,

  9. Love that joyful little spot of light and the way the photo is obscured.

  10. The objects in your photo are so artistically arranged. I love the way the light is gently warming the sweater. (Is Mother nearby?)

  11. Cute post!
Here in Málaga the weather is perfect - not too cold not too hot but warm.
In Helsinki it's wet and cloudy...
    Stay warm!

  12. Alpaca wool, is so cozy to make us warm and with the sunshine shone in? That makes more warmer.

    Happy Sunday, sweet Robin.

  13. poetic is its loveliness! back when I was teaching, I would tell my first graders to keep their jackets, coats on. questioned by one "why?' I responded "because I'm cold!" I had no idea that I was in tune with a famous writer!
