the first wealth is health.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
thanksgiving morning.
several hours before the family was up.
i had the blessing.
of having my coffee on the porch.
the sun was shining.
low in the sky.
there was a slight breeze.
but nothing a light fleece.
couldn't handle.
the temperature soared to 66 that day.
the smell of turkey permeated the house.
as a wonderful breeze poured.
in the kitchen window.
with the children all home.
we sat and shared a meal.
with grateful hearts.
and even with the very next day.
bringing a significant drop in temperatures.
and driving snow.
we can give thanks.
for our health.
because.
unlike material possessions.
it's the one thing.
that we will miss if it's gone.
just BE.
robin.
Beautiful captures and beautiful words/thoughts to match, Robin, as always! And, as always, a lovely way to begin my day! Have a wonderful weekend -- hopefully with weather like this!!
