nobody can go back and start a new beginning,
but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
~Maria Robinson
just BE.
robin.
ps.
I am usually silent. I am a sit back and listen. a sit
back and observe kind of girl. but not today. out of the blue. I had it said in
a comment that obama should win so that there would be no more globe wars, no
more guns. ah but there will be guns. there will be guns in the
hands of the bad people. this week we had a bad person come onto
our property and beat the windows out of my son’s car. (he can’t be charged with
trespassing, because he wasn’t informed that he shouldn’t come onto our property
at 3:30 in the morning and damage the car) he has threatened my son’s life
several times. he threatened to blow up our home. if the guns are gone. and only
bad people have them, which WILL be the case. do we offer him a piece of cake
when he storms through our picture window, despite the personal protection order
against him, and attempts to harm our family? now every time a car I don’t know
comes up our dead end road. I am scared. I don’t want to go to sleep at night. I
don’t want to laugh and carry on through my day because I have this pit in my
stomach that some pycho is going to harm my son and possibly more. lives, even
in a small quiet town. get turned upside down in a instant. for what? because
bad things happen to good people.
The Second
Amendment (Amendment
II)
to the United States
Constitution is the part of the United States Bill
of Rights that protects the right of the people
to keep and bear arms. It was adopted on December 15, 1791,
along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.
if you ask me maybe this country needs a little dose of
1791. versus the “all about me” generation.
attack me if you must.
I am tired of sitting back and
listening. I am tired of the bad people always winning.
Such wise, true words, Robin, and a wonderful shadow shot for the day! Love your header with the lovely autumn colors! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely...both image and words.
ReplyDeleteThe pail is industrial in spirit, our concerns are with the contents and not its plain exterior. Yet, the unstylish plastic leaves a little space for the weedy shadow to shine. It could be a metaphor for us to not discount the outside, as beauty will be found there too. Nice shadow!
ReplyDeleteHello Robin girl !
ReplyDeleteHow is the new job going ?
I think a lot better than the old one? LOL
Nice shot here ... lends mystery to it with the plant shadow in the background ... what has happened ... or going to happen ? LOL
Joy
PS ... I am trying to start a new beginning for a new middle, and ending .. fingers crossed !!
Oh Robin I as so sorry this is happening to you.
ReplyDeleteThe NRA gets poked fun at a lot for being trigger happy hicks...and I know some trigger happy hicks but your personal story clearly illustrates why we have the second amendment.
If you have not already; learn to use a gun.
And keep praying for those angels to surround your home and son.
I will too.

There is, I think, not one single answer that will satisfy everyone. There are, however, shadows in which you can find peace and serenity. May this be the case for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteShadowy Home for Critters
I hear you girl! I feel the same way many many times! In my world, I question why people who really don't know what they're doing and really have no people skills seem to get administrative jobs? Why do they feed on the those who do know and then pass it off as their right to own? Their idea? Too much of this can kill the spirit. But I won't let them kill me! I simply won't! Power and the lure of power (like your intruder preying on your fears)seems to attract some mighty unhealthy spirits intent on "killing" those who appear to be some threat! I am convinced that these unhealthy spirits condemn themselves to an eternal life of bad press! At least, I have to say I hope so. Bad people don't win ultimately. They can't.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your shadow shot has a touch of your unsettled mood in it. And I don't blame you.
I am part of the dead end community here that this man has threatened. Because he ONLY broke all the car windows and fortunately did not bash the son's head in with that ball bat, NOT a gun, we lived for three LONG days before he could be arrested, in fear. His threats continue. His violence continues. Our fear of those threats are magnified. HE is the criminal, we are NOT. Yet we have no rights. EXCEPT THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS AND PROTECT OURSELVES, when the police cannot. BAD, evil violent types will ALWAYS have guns. If Obama has his way, we won't. OUR constitution gives US that right. IF we cannot protect ourselves, who will?
ReplyDeleteRobin's mother,
a woman who WILL protect my family and my property.
wow.
ReplyDeleteScrolling through all of your absolutely beautiful pictures and enjoying them all ~ the beauty of fall and how you capture it is always amazing...but as I went back up to read your words, I am, well, shocked, sad & saying a quiet prayer for your family's safety!
Wishing for a peaceful week for you all ~ stay safe!
