your time is limited,
so don't waste it living someone else's life.
don't be trapped by dogma -
which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
don't let the noise of others' opinions
drown out your own inner voice.
and most important,
have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

time.
don't waste it living.
someone else's life.
i got a package.
in the mail this week.
along with my purchase .
were many "buy this" extras.
among it was this little vial of perfume.
called.
exceptional-because you are.
love that!!
LOVED that!!
yes, of course.
i photographed it.
it will show up sometime next week.
love those moments.
when things present themselves.
just at the right time.
also.
speaking of .
just the right time.
even tho it is a crispy .
twenty-two degrees.
i stepped outside on the deck to
photography my february header.
the robins.
are here.
this morning.
a smile crept across my face.
what an exceptional way to
start my weekend.
may you have an extraordinary.
exceptional day.
because you are.
just BE.
robin.
ps. the perfume it's not to bad. put it on my wrist. had hubby smell it. he felt it was more
"acceptable" than exceptional. his comment was "did this come from a magazine?"
I've yet to see a Robin in my yard. Right now it's 60F and raining.
ReplyDeleteTalking of being exceptional made me think of the little exchange my husband and I enjoy. He'll say "well, aren't you special" and I reply, "no...I'm extra special". It always makes us smile.
Your shadow shot is lovely today as always.
Lovely post for the day with wonderful words and a delightful shadow shot! Hope you have a beautiful weekend, Robin! Enjoy!

Time has value, because it is often so limited. Existing is not enough, we want to live. Our lives, our experiences are to savor. Not that living entails dawns as well as ups, we do not see nor feel perfection in all aspects. Life is beautiful, and with the time we have we need to enjoy the life and blessings we have...
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen robins, but this is a mild winter in the 40s for most of next week. Blue jays and cardinals so far. WE (and the cat) are paying close attention to the birds that grace our yard...
Hooray for the robins...I do hope they know what they're doing. What a strange winter we've had this year. Strange and wonderful...
ReplyDeleteLove the quote and the clock!
We have a very cheeky robin in our garden, who bosses the sparrows about!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition, amazing words!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Visiting here is always a positive surprise...I know you're an artist in your heart!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Time does cast a pretty big shadow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and post.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Tempus fugit; I wrote a short post about that subject this past week.
ReplyDeleteThe days fly by.
I hope your day is extraordinary as well, Robin.
But, did it SMELL exceptional?! Oh sorry, had to say that. It is a swell name. I always liked my Obsession because I was sure someone (Patrick)was so nuts for me that I was. Oh, he just said I still am. he he. Smart fellow!
ReplyDeleteI really like this ShadowShot. Is it a small Westminster clock or a large one taken with a zoom? Do tell! Happy SSS.
Your time is limited....I love those words. And your shadow is perfect for your prose.
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Shadows Link: MISTY MORNING
I do hope to see you stop by for a visit if you can find time. Have a great Sunday.
@ cassie...that did have to be asked. it smelled like all the rest of those things do, or like the magazine perfumes that all smell the same. and it is a big clock.
ReplyDeleteRobin you never truly know how limited your time is until you have your last moments .. I hope mine will be peaceful. I too wonder what the perfume's scent was like ? You have a lot of us wondering .. I have to say my favourite is "Light Blue" by Dolce&Gabanna .. not sure about the spelling but I think you get the company right ? .. I am obsessed by clocks .. my dream come true is the big grandfather clock we bought while living in the Netherlands .. that was the one thing I wanted and I was so lucky to get it !!
ReplyDeleteLovely post girl !

Spo9ken like many hubbys do! But, what a exceptional surprise to get in the mail, for sure! Topped off with the songs of robins. Vundabar!
ReplyDeletewhat a perfect shot! I love how you've taken a simple clock and turned it into art!
ReplyDeleteHugs, antonella :-)
I've linked up this week and have a free printable too!
Perhaps the perfume wasn't exceptional but it's name give something to think about, reminds us we are each unique.
ReplyDeleteLovely post, and a reminder to all of us to make the most of every day, from a man who took his own advice.
