...special balancing trick...

this is a special balancing trick that requires a small child to stay completely still (so it's still only theoretical)
~storypeople

the temp is currently a balmy 6 degrees.
but at least there is beautiful sun for today.
this shot is taken from one of my
kitchen windows.
it started snowing...
and it really hasn't stopped.
we got a new snow blower in december...
i enjoy using it so much
i think i could clear out a path
the size of a football field.
ah winter.
i will find some way to enjoy you...
even if only
through my camera lens.
let's go find some more shadow shots.
have a wonderful day.
just BE.

  2. Enjoy your "balmy" 6 degrees, while I feast my eyes on your luscious shadow shot. It looks good enough to eat!

    BOOKISH SHADOWS

    Darksome shadows in my path,
    You are not the Grapes of Wrath;

And yet when I hear your hums,
    Something Wicked This Way Comes!

May your darkness turn to light
Like The House of Mirth, all right?

    May all sadness drift away—

  5. It's snowing in CT today, a mere (when compared to last winter :) five inches, and it is a bit warmer at about 17 now. No shadows under today's gray winter sky. The sky is definitely a bold blue after the storm. A strong sun is the solice after the front had moved out. Happy snowthrowing!

  6. A great, snowy shadow shot for the day, Robin! We've had lots of snow, too, for Seattle and the city has almost shut down. Then the temps went up, the snow starts to melt and we have flooding!! Seattle does not deal well with snow!!! Hope you have great weekend! Enjoy and stay warm!

  7. Beautiful!!!
Take the machine and come here - men are so busy to drive around and clean the streets - your help would be highly appreciated! :)

  8. lovely - we only get snow for a few weeks a year so when it does come the country grinds to a halt - thankfully only rain and high winds for now.

  13. you know you just have this beautiful ability to take the ordinary and transform it into something so magical and mysterious. I love this photo. And I hope you're enjoying your slice of winter (a new blower, yay!). It won't last forever and before you know it this snow and cold will be only a memory. happy SSS to you Robin.

  15. Neat shot... it looks like it is some snow-person rising from the snow... Love your quote... the only time they are completely still is when they are sleeping, and even then it is a fleeting thing - lol
