my son asked me
& when i said that's not how belief works,
he nodded
& said that's what he thought
but he was just checking to make sure
he hadn't missed a key point.

Delicate and oh-so-lovely! My son, of course asked me questions similar to that when he was little. Such as, Santa and the Easter Bunny. I said, that no one can dis-prove that they did not exist. Just because we cannot see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist, right?

ReplyDeleteThe leaf hangs on defiantly, skating across the snow. The seasonal changes are well shown here! As for faith, too many people want us to prove what you believe. Yet our faith inside will not be tested if our beliefs are true. There is no reason to justify our faith and belief systems. The boy knew that, only needing reassurance that faith comes from within us...
