blessed are the single-hearted, for they shall enjoy much peace.
if you refuse to be hurried and pressed,
if you stay your soul on God,
nothing can keep you from that clearness of spirit which is life and peace.
in that stillness you will know what His will is.
Amy Carmichael
if you live the life you love,
you will receive shelter and blessings.
sometimes the great famine of blessings
in and around us derives from the fact
that we are not living the life we love;
rather, we are living the life that is expected of us.
we have fallen out of rhythm with the secret signature
and light of our own nature.
John O’Donohue
When you get into a tight place
and everything goes against you,
never give up then,
for that is just the time
when the tide will turn.

*****
we had a tide turning blessing
this weekend.
if you wait long enough.
if you practice paitence.
if you are grateful for the bad times,
as well as the good.
in His time.
blessings will find their way to you.
it should not surprise me.
but sometimes...
He catches me off guard.
praise be to God.
welcome to coffee hour.
welcome to this Sunday morning.
just BE.

wow, you got snow! we had snow showers one day but nothing stuck to the ground which disappointed. fall and winter are my favorite seasons - I know, I'm in the minority! but I love the trees in their state of undress, and I love the stark beauty of snow. your photos are wonderful. happy Sunday to you Robin.
ReplyDeleteRobin, your words and pictures are so precious to me, thank you so much for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteSorry to be so late checking in-busy weekend again!
ReplyDeleteThere is always a sense of renewal when visiting your site-with the words and the images that you so thoughtfully curate.
It looks like Fall turned into Winter very quickly! Beautiful photos and, of course, your words are inspiring as always. Have a lovely week. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteEwwwwwwww...yet it instills a sense of harmony for us Northerners...but it doesn't mean we have to like it...RIGHT TILDA...bring on the depression AND the chocolate(for medicinal purposes)!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the java...s
Beautiful shots. I love the clean and peaceful covering of new snow and the stark brown taken in the same place. That, and your quotes brings to my mind a very beautiful visual statement of God's washing renewal after a time of spiritual dryness.
ReplyDeleteHe always shows up; that is what your photos make me think.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Leah
