the underlying attraction
of the movement of water and sand is biological.
if we look more deeply
if we look more deeply
we can see it
as the basis of an abstract idea
linking ourselves
linking ourselves
with the limitless mechanics
of the universe.

Nice--it's like the whole season in one shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadow shot as always, Robin! And the perfect words! And bit by bit things are settling down for the long winter nap here in Seattle as well. Hopefully there will always be shadows to play with!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Sylvia

Excellent shadw shot - and I love the photos in your previous post!
ReplyDeleteThe summer sleeps indeed now. The water may freeze in the winter, so we must consider that as we remove (for now) the things of the warmer season. Happily, shadows are not constrained by season - snow is a fine canvas for shadowy art...
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow shot and verse as always.
ReplyDeleteThe lovely autumn leaf in this feature sits alone but beautiful in its own right.
ReplyDeletelovely shadows Robin, Love the quote too!
ReplyDeleteNice shot. The leaf is very close to the color of the pots.
ReplyDeleteMy SSS entry here
A soft, sighing atmosphere in this beautiful shot! The curl of dry leaf is like a final embrace! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAh, a shadow shot that speaks to the season!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm gonna miss it so...or is it that we need a break from our labors of the summer...don't know why I dread the winter so, guess because it's so financially draining for me and I don't have a wood burning stove...YET!!!
ReplyDeleteBut I had my cable TV taken out the other day, so we'll see how productive I can be this winter in the silence of the drone of my PC...and the wind!
Time to scale back, I'm feeling the urge, or is it the pinch in these troubles times. I can't stand tripping across the news anywhere, lies and buffoonery abound!
But I get a little respite with a visit to my friends...and drink another cup of HOT java...be happy lil' friend and say 'HEY' to Ma!

Always lovely words to accompany a lovely photo.
