...of making choices...

I HAVE not so much emulated the birds that musically sing,
I have abandon'd myself to flights,
broad circles.
The hawk, the seagull, have far more possess'd me than the
canary or mocking-bird,
I have not felt to warble and trill,
however sweetly,
I have felt to soar in freedom and in the fullness of
power,
joy,
volition.

  3. The shadows fall upon the utilitarian basin as it sits upside down and in disuse. This tub however can now be turned upright and filled with life-giving water to the odd animal that stumbles upon it. Or even a bird or two, as well. A wonderful poem and capture!

    enough to peer deep into

  14. Love your shadow - love that bit of light - it gets your imagination going picking out what that shadow looks like...a face, a mountain, oh the possibilities (better than shapes in clouds!!)
