These shining lights leave delicate shadows, a soft look at a wonderful season of giving. The cold days here are feeling a bit warmer here. A beautiful subject and shadows!
You got me in straight away with the beautiful antique quilt stocking.
We did indeed have the most blessed Christmas, with all our children, grandchildren and my brother coming from near and far to join us for Christmas Day. We are leaving this morning for a trip to Sydney to catch up with family (again!) and friends. I wish you every happiness for 2010.
Thank you - that's a charmingly mellow shot you've got here! By the way, in your header - are they echanacia flowers by any chance? I just saw some in our botanical gardens and they look kinda similar...
thanks to everyone for the comments...i hope you all had wonderful holiday memories as well.
i just wanted to let sam know that the flowers in my header are black-eyed susans. the echanacia has more of a pokey, spiney head than the black-eyed susan.

I like your quilted stocking - lots of love went into those stitches.
Boy, the snows are coming down today, we lucked out yesterday, so travel was easy...stayin' home today!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and now we pray for peace in the New Year...to all man and beast on Earth!
Say hey to Tilda...
Thanks for the blessing. Nice shadow picture, one of the best uses of shadows is to show texture.
How soft and sweet and full of hope!
I hope you and yours had a wonderful day yesterday.
Christmas lights throw such beautiful subtle shadows!

Snow is great although hard life. Wonderful shot and I wish your stocking is full with wonderful gifts of life.
Have a peaceful & bountiful NY.
Very sweet. I like the softness and sepia tones. And may your blessings continue to flow also!

The shadows created with the fabric are delicate and you captured them beautifully. I like the tiny white lights adding brightness here.
I hope you are having a wonderful Yuletide season.
Beautiful image! It looks so classic!
Delightful, soft shadows and love the silky gold tone and texture around them!
